Terms of Service

We know nobody reads these, but a lawyer would be sad if we didn't have one, so here it is. We tried to make it less painful than usual. Interdependence is run by Interdependence Fitness Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17420484, for tracking workouts, nutrition, and bodyweight, and for connecting people with coaches nearby. By using this website or creating an account in the app, you're agreeing to what's below.

Nothing in the app or on this website is medical, dietary, or professional fitness advice. Talk to a doctor or qualified professional before starting a new exercise or diet program, especially if you have an existing health condition.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials to yourself and for what happens under your account. Let us know if you think your account's been compromised. You can sign in to this website with the same account to use its web tools; new accounts are made in the app.

The Find a Coach directory in the app lists coaches by the information they've chosen to provide. We don't vet, certify, or endorse any coach listed, and listing here isn't a guarantee of qualifications, availability, or quality. Do your own due diligence, same as you would with anyone you're about to train with.

Booking a slot with a coach in the app just confirms interest in a time between you and them. No money changes hands through us, no payment details are collected, and we're not a party to whatever arrangement you make with a coach. Any fees, cancellation terms, or agreements are between you and them.

If you message a coach, or a coach messages you, you're each responsible for what you send. That means no abuse, harassment, threats, spam or anything illegal, and nothing that pretends to be someone else. Coaches are responsible for what they write to their clients. We provide the channel; we don't review messages before they're sent, and what's said is between you and the coach.

You can report any message from inside Interdependence, and we'll read that message and the few before it. A client can pause messages, and either of you can end the connection, whenever you like. We may remove a message, or suspend an account, that breaks these terms. Messages aren't watched for emergencies, and a message from a coach isn't medical advice: if it's urgent, call 999 or NHS 111.

Coaches can add their own name, logo, colour and a short description to their coaching area. That content belongs to the coach, not to us, and we do not check it before it appears. We keep a record of what was uploaded and by whom. If something is wrong, offensive, or not theirs to use, tell us and we will remove it from every client's view. We can also remove it without being asked. Removing it does not end the coaching relationship or affect any training, food or measurement data, which is yours and stays yours.

Don't use the app or this website to store or share illegal content, attempt to access another account's private data, scrape or abuse the coach directory, or interfere with the service for other users. Basically: don't be that person.

The app and this website are provided as-is, with no guarantee they'll always be available, bug-free, or that data will never be lost. In practice your app data is kept locally on your device as well as on the server, which limits that risk, but it isn't a guarantee: we're a small company, not a big platform with guaranteed uptime.

We may suspend or remove an account, or a coach listing, that violates these terms.

These terms may change as the app and website change. Material changes will be noted here and in the app's in-app changelog, not slipped in quietly.
